Vidzemes Augstskola laika posmā no 2017.gada septembra līdz 2020.gada 30.jūnijam plāno īstenot Darbības programmas "Izaugsme un nodarbinātība" 8.1.1. specifiskā atbalsta mērķa “Palielināt modernizēto STEM, tajā skaitā medicīnas un radošās industrijas, studiju programmu skaitu” projektu “Vidzemes Augstskolas STEM studiju vides modernizācija”. Projekta mērķis ir Vidzemes Augstskolas STEM studiju programmu modernizācija atbilstoši ārējās un iekšējās vides faktoru tendencēm pasaulē un Latvijā. Projekta mērķa sasniegšanai plānotas sekojošas darbības: 1. iekārtu, aparatūras, mēbeļu, datortehnikas, tehnoloģiju, programmatūras, materiālu, inventāra un instrumentu iegāde:1.1. esošo un jaunu laboratoriju modernizēšanai un attīstībai;1.2. datorklašu modernizēšanai un virtualizācijas attīstībai; 1.3. profesionālo STEM studiju programmu īstenošanai;2. bezvadu interneta attīstība;3. bibliotēkas fondu papildināšana;4. projekta vadība un īstenošana;5. informācijas un publicitātes pasākumi.Projektā plānots veikt ieguldījumus Vidzemes Augstskolas materiāltehniskās bāzes attīstībā un modernizēšanā, sniedzot ieguldījumu Inženierzinātņu fakultātes un kopējā augstskolas attīstībā, piedāvājot studentiem modernizētu STEM studiju vidi un paplašinot augstskolas piedāvātās studiju iespējas STEM jomā. Vidzemes Augstskola īsteno 6 studiju programmas STEM jomā. Pirmā līmeņa studiju programmas "Informāciju tehnoloģijas" "Mehatronika" un "Koka ēku celtniecība un ekobūve", bakalaura studiju programma "Informācijas tehnoloģijas", maģistra un doktora studiju programma "Sociotehnisko sistēmu modelēšana".Projekta rezultātā tiks modernizētas 7 laboratorijas (Virtuālās un papildinātās realitātes, Mehatronikas, Elektronikas, Datortīklu, Mobilo tehnoloģiju, Radiofrekvenciālās identifikācijas un Energoefektivitātes laboratorijas) un izveidotas divas jaunas laboratorijas (Datu drošības un Būvniecības laboratorija), kā arī būtiski ieguldījumi tiks veikti virtualizācijas attīstībā un datorklašu modernizēšanā.Projektā plānotās darbības uzlabos Vidzemes Augstskolas konkurētspēju un veicinās studējošo skaita pieaugumu STEM studiju programmās, kas atbilst darba tirgus pieprasījumam, līdz ar to veicinot STEM studiju programmās studējošo absolventu nodarbinātību, kā arī jaunu zināšanu un prasmju veidošanu un pielietošanu mūsdienu zināšanu sabiedrības izaicinājumu un problēmu risināšanai gan nacionālā, gan starptautiskā līmenī.Projekta kopējās izmaksas ir 599 938,00 EUR, kur 89 990,70 EUR ir valsts budžeta finansējums un 509 947,30 EUR ir Eiropas Reģionālās attīstības fonda finansējums. In the period from September 2017 to June 30, 2020 Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences plans to implement the Specific Objective 8.1.1 of the Operational Programme “Growth and Employment” “To increase the number of study programmes of STEM modernised STEM studies”. The aim of the project is to modernise STEM study programmes of Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences in accordance with trends of external and internal environmental factors in the world and Latvia. The following activities are planned to achieve the project goal: 1. purchase of equipment, equipment, furniture, hardware, technology, software, materials, equipment and tools:1.1. for modernisation and development of existing and new laboratories; 1.2. for modernisation of computer classrooms and development of virtualisation; 1.3. for the implementation of professional STEM study programmes;2. Wireless Internet development;3. supplementation of library funds;4. project management and implementation;5. information and publicity measures.In the project it is planned to invest in development and modernisation of the material base of Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences, contributing to the development of Faculty of Engineering Sciences and joint university development, offering students a modernised study environment and expanding the study opportunities offered by the university in the field of STEM. Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences implements 6 study programmes in the field of STEM. Funding of the first level study programs “Information Technologies” “Mechatronics” and “Building of Wood Buildings and Eco-Building”, Bachelor’s study program “Information Technologies”, master and doctoral study program “Sociotechnical systems modelling”.The project will modernise 7 laboratories (Virtual and augmented reality, Mechatronics, Electronics, Computer Network, Radio Frequency Identification and Energy Efficiency Laboratories) and create two new challenges in the field of reality, Mechatronics, Electronics, Computer Network, Radio Frequency Identification and Energy Efficiency Laboratories, and created two new laboratories in the field of the project, the modernisation of the costs of the National Projects and the modernisation of the project as well as the modernisation of the project as well as the modernisation of the project as well as the modernisation of the national laboratory.
