Kliimamuutustest tingitud sagenenud äärmuslikud ilmastikunähtused ning metsa- ja maastikupõlengud põhjustatavad üha suuremat kahju keskkonnale ja isikute varale. Päästeameti kasutuses on hulgaliselt päästesõidukeid, mis lähiaastatel ületavad optimaalse kasutusaja. Projekti raames soetatavad päästesõidukid on oma olemuselt multifunktsionaalsed ning nende olemasolu suurendab lisaks keskkonnaalasele valmisolekule lisandväärtusena ka üldist sisejulgeolekualast turvalisust. Increased extreme weather events and forest and landscape fires caused by climate change are causing increasing damage to the environment and the property of individuals. The Rescue Board has a large number of life-saving vehicles, which in the coming years exceed the optimum service life. The life-saving vehicles to be acquired under the project are multifunctional in nature and their presence contributes not only to environmental preparedness but also to the overall security of internal security as an added value.
