Kliimamuutustest tingitud sagenenud äärmuslikud ilmastikunähtused ning metsa- ja maastikupõlengud põhjustatavad üha suuremat kahju keskkonnale ja isikute varale. Päästeameti kasutuses on ligi 200 eriotstarbelist päästesõidukit, millest lähiaastatel pooled ületavad optimaalse kasutusaja.
