The aim of the project is to reduce heat loss in the energy production process, as well as reduce electricity consumption and make the system safer, to reduce operating and maintenance costs. The planned 0,99 MW chips water-heating boiler, which uses low-value wood as the main fuel, and residues in the form of chips or sawdust during wood processing with a desired moisture content of not more than 55 %. The boiler needs to build a fuel warehouse with a delivery mechanism, but the boiler itself is intended to be built in the existing boiler house with all auxiliary equipment and fully automated boiler operation. The project is intended to complement the merger of several CSSs in Stradu pag. In the villages of Station and Skistra. The project has a positive impact on the environment, as the new boiler house will use environmentally neutral fuel – wood, which is an environmentally friendly renewable energy source – and the project will reduce fuel consumption and emissions, as well as reduce the transport used for fuel input, thus also emitting fossil fuels – CO2, NOx, PM10. The use of new technologies will also reduce emissions of particulate matter, which is currently high through low-efficiency boilers and no flue gas treatment plants. It is expected that the project will be implemented until the new heating season of 2020 with CF co-financing. Its total cost could amount to around EUR 833 085 of which the CF co-funding approximately EUR 258 060. (English)

(Latvian)
