Cílem projektu BiomedLab je rozvoj kvalitní infrastruktury výzkumně zaměřeného doktorského studijního programu na Fakultě biomedicínského inženýrství, v souladu s potřebami identifikovanými v RIS3 strategii a strategii Českého vysokého učení technického v Praze. Důvodem realizace je zatraktivnění fakultní infrastruktury pro výzkum a vývoj v doktorském studijním programu Biomedicínské inženýrství, jeho výuce a následné podpoře lidských zdrojů, stejně tak jako zlepšení podmínek pro výuku. a.
