Το παρόν επενδυτικό σχέδιο αφορά στην ίδρυση Βιομηχανικού Κέντρου Έρευνας και Ανάπτυξης Εφαρμογών της φυσικής μαστίχας Χίου. Πιο συγκεκριμένα, το επενδυτικό έργο περιλαμβάνει την δημιουργία των κτηριακών υποδομών και την προμήθεια και εγκατάσταση των απαραίτητων μηχανολογικών, εργαστηριακών και λοιπών εξοπλισμών ειδικών εγκαταστάσεων, οι οποίες απαιτούνται για την πιστοποιημένη λειτουργία του υπό σύσταση φορέα επιστημονικής έρευνας.Το Κέντρο σχεδιάστηκε να εγκατασταθεί σε ιδιοκτησία που ανήκει σε ένα εκ των βασικών ιδρυτικών μετόχων του (Ένωση Μαστιχοπαραγωγών Χίου Συν. Π. Ε.) και η οποία περιλαμβάνει παλαιό κτίριο βιομηχανικής χρήσης σε οικόπεδο στη θέση Σελέπερος του ΔΔ. Καλλιμασιάς του Δήμου Χίου. Η προαναφερόμενη ιδιοκτησία θα μισθωθεί από τον υπό σύσταση φορέα με μακρόχρονο συμφωνητικό μίσθωσης.Για τις ανάγκες του έργου θα γίνουν οι απαραίτητες παρεμβάσεις στο κέλυφος του κτιρίου, με το εσωτερικό του, το οποίο έχει σχεδιαστεί σαν clean room - controlled area (ελεγχόμενο επίπεδο μόλυνσης που καθορίζεται από τον αριθμό σωματιδίων ανά κυβικό μέτρο σε συγκεκριμένο μέγεθος σωματιδίων), να περιλαμβάνει τις παρακάτω λειτουργικές μονάδες:-Μονάδα R&D-Μονάδα πιλοτικής παραγωγής προϊόντων-Εργαστήρια QC, QA και μικροβιολογικούΤο συνολικό εμβαδόν του ισογείου θα διαμορφωθεί σε 498,89τμ ενώ θα κατασκευαστεί προσθήκη καθ ύψος (όροφος) από μεταλλικό φέροντα οργανισμό εμβαδού 298,85τμ, προκειμένου να στεγαστούν επαρκώς οι δραστηριότητες της νέας μονάδας.Στο επενδυτικό σχέδιο περιλαμβάνονται επίσης η προμήθεια και εγκατάσταση:-του ηλεκτρομηχανολογικού εξοπλισμού που απαιτείται για τη δημιουργία ειδικών εγκαταστάσεων (σύστημα HVAC, ηλεκτρικά δίκτυα, δίκτυο σωληνώσεων παραγωγής και υποστήριξης)-μηχανολογικού εξοπλισμού πιλοτικών παραγωγών, και -εξοπλισμού μικροβιολογικού εργαστηρίου και χημείουΤο όλο έργο θα σχεδιαστεί έτσι ώστε να συμμορφώνεται με τις απαιτήσεις GMP και τις οδηγίες του ISO 14644 , ISO 9001, ISO 22716 και του FDA, καθώς και τους Ελληνικούς κανονισμούς.
