In the historical center of the city of Parga is the mansion of the eminent Vassilas family, built in 1874. It has been classified as a historical monument with the Ministry of Culture/DILAP/C/478/10822/6-2-1996 Decision of the Minister of Culture and today belongs to the Municipality of Parga after a donation of the Vassilas family. The building consists of two main volumes and a semi-sealed courtyard. The first main volume is a four-storey rectangular section while the second bulk is two-storey and is essentially an extension of the courtyard, surrounded by a high stone wall and is half covered by successive arches. The project provides for the reconstruction of the building and its reuse as a Multipurpose Cultural Centre. The project for the utilisation of the building as a cultural centre provides, inter alia, for the organisation of cultural events, exhibitions and conferences of regional/national and international interest in Parga, which in combination with the lack of adequate infrastructure in the area will lead to the upgrading of the Municipality’s role at regional, national and international level, the greater promotion of the cultural heritage of the region and the reduction of regional inequalities in the field of Culture. The interventions in the building and its planned use will fully respect the identity of the building and the city and will enhance its recognition as a point of reference for the cultural creation and the actions of the creative industry of the region. The physical object of the Act includes: Definitive Studies & Implementation Project Advisory Services Project Technical Works Procurement of infrastructure equipment, operation of the building and costs of ICT Promotion and promotion actionsThe Multipurpose Cultural Centre of Parga will have as its strategic objectives: to promote the cultural and tourism of the region, while hosting its actions and events the provision of high-level services in its cultural and professional level throughout the year, will be the cultural and cultural context of the region.     Στο ιστορικό κέντρο της πόλης της Πάργας βρίσκεται το αρχοντικό της επιφανούς οικογένειας Βασιλά, που κατασκευάστηκε το 1874. Έχει χαρακτηριστεί ως ιστορικό διατηρητέο μνημείο με την αριθμ. ΥΠΠΟ/ΔΙΛΑΠ/Γ/478/10822/6-2-1996 Απόφαση του Υπουργού Πολιτισμού και ανήκει σήμερα στο Δήμο Πάργας μετά από δωρεά της οικογένειας Βασιλά. Το κτίριο αποτελείται από δυο κύριους όγκους και έναν αύλειο ημιστεγασμένο χώρο. Ο πρώτος κύριος όγκος είναι τετραώροφος ορθογωνικής περίπου διατομής ενώ ο δεύτερος κύριος όγκος είναι διώροφος και ουσιαστικά αποτελεί προέκταση του αύλειου χώρου, ο οποίος περιβάλλεται από υψηλό πέτρινο τοίχο και είναι κατά το ήμισυ στεγασμένος από διαδοχικές καμάρες. Στο πλαίσιο του έργου προβλέπεται η ανακατασκευή του κτιρίου κα η επανάχρηση του ως Πολυδύναμο Πολιτιστικό Κέντρο. Το σχέδιο αξιοποίησης του κτιρίου ως πολιτιστικού κέντρο προβλέπει μεταξύ άλλων τη διοργάνωση πολιτιστικών εκδηλώσεων, εκθέσεων και συνεδρίων περιφερειακού / εθνικού αλλά και διεθνούς ενδιαφέροντος στην Πάργα η οποία σε συνδυασμό με την έλλειψη επαρκούς αντίστοιχης υποδομής στην περιοχή θα οδηγήσει στην αναβάθμιση του ρόλου του Δήμου σε περιφερειακό, εθνικό και διεθνές επίπεδο, στην εντονότερη προβολή της πολιτιστικής κληρονομιάς της περιοχής αλλά και στην άμβλυνση των περιφερειακών ανισοτήτων στον τομέα του Πολιτισμού. Οι παρεμβάσεις στο κτίριο αλλά και η σχεδιαζόμενη χρήση του θα σεβαστούν πλήρως την ταυτότητα του κτιρίου αλλά και της πόλης ενώ θα ενισχύσουν και την αναγνωρισιμότητα του ως ένα σημείο αναφοράς για την πολιτιστική δημιουργία και τις δράσεις της δημιουργικής βιομηχανίας της περιοχής.
