The 2nd Primary School of Karpenisi is ten-seat and has been operating since 1956. It is attended by 150 students (2015-2016), divided into ten departments. Together with the computer, integration, visual and all-day halls, the school is served by fourteen rooms.Together with the 2nd Primary School in the same plot, the 2nd three-seat kindergarten is housed. This kindergarten is attended by 56 students, divided into 3 departments and served by 3 classrooms.There is a need for a) for a) a multipurpose room covering the multiple activities of the school such as theatre education performances, school holidays, presentation of events, group discourses, music, dance, and lectures. B) Gym room. The rooms used today do not in any way have suitable architectural specifications and equipment, for pole halls. Uses or, of course, suitable infrastructure for disabled people. With the present proposal, the location of the new two-storey building was chosen on the south-west side of the plot, with the ground floor being underground from the north and east sides, while on the South side it is ground floor. This layout forms a square building with a visible roof for the main multipurpose hall in order, on the one hand, to project as a separate volume, on the other hand, to be integrated into the environment. The other buildings help. Use (exhibit room, toilets, storage room, outdoor toilets) will have smaller volumes and smaller heights to frame the main building and support it visually. The gymnasium with a different shape (orthogonal) and with the necessary dimensions to function as an indoor mini basketball stadium with FIBA specifications will have two sides with large openings in the South and West, while on the side of the school it will not even be perceived that there is an underground floor to the courtyard. Το 2ο Δημοτικό Σχολείο Καρπενησίου είναι δεκαθέσιο και λειτουργεί από το 1956. Σε αυτό φοιτούν 150 μαθητές (2015-2016), χωρισμένοι σε δέκα τμήματα. Μαζί με τις αίθουσες πληροφορικής, ένταξης, εικαστικών και ολοήμερου το σχολείο εξυπηρετείται συνολικά από δεκατέσσερις αίθουσες.Μαζί με το 2ο Δημοτικό σχολείο στο ίδιο οικόπεδο συστεγάζεται και το 2ο τριθέσιο νηπιαγωγείο. Στο νηπιαγωγείο αυτό φοιτούν 56 μαθητές, χωρισμένοι σε 3 τμήματα και εξυπηρετούνται από 3 αίθουσες.Υπάρχει ανάγκη σύμφωνα και με τις απόψεις του σχολείου για α) για αίθουσα πολλαπλών χρήσεων η οποία θα καλύπτει τις πολλαπλές δραστηριότητες του σχολείου όπως θεατρική αγωγή παραστάσεις, σχολικές εορτές, παρουσίαση εκδηλώσεων, ομαδικών διαθεματικών εργασιών, μουσική, χορός, και διαλέξεις. β) αίθουσα γυμναστικής. Οι αίθουσες που χρησιμοποιούνται σήμερα δεν έχουν σε καμία περίπτωση κατάλληλες αρχιτεκτονικές προδιαγραφές και εξοπλισμό, για αίθουσες πολ. Χρήσεων ούτε βέβαια κατάλληλη υποδομή για ΑΜΕΑ. Με την παρούσα πρόταση επιλέχθηκε η χωροθέτηση του νέου διώροφου κτιρίου στην νοτιοδυτική πλευρά του οικοπέδου με Νότιο προσανατολισμό και με τον ισόγειο όροφο αυτού να είναι υπόγειος από τη βόρεια και ανατολική πλευρά του, ενώ από την Νότια πλευρά είναι ισόγειος. Με την διάταξη αυτή διαμορφώνεται ένα τετράγωνο κτίριο με εμφανή στέγη για την κύρια αίθουσα πολλαπλών χρήσεων ώστε αφενός να προβάλλει ως ξεχωριστός όγκος αφετέρου να εντάσσεται στο περιβάλλον. Τα λοιπά κτίρια βοηθ. Χρήσης (αιθουσα εκθέσεων, τουαλέτες, αποθήκη, τουαλέτες εξωτερικές) θα έχουν μικρότερους όγκους και μικρότερα ύψη ώστε να πλαισιώνουν το κύριο κτίσμα και να το υποστηρίζουν οπτικά. Η αίθουσα γυμναστικής με άλλο σχήμα (ορθογώνιο) και με τις απαραίτητες διαστάσεις ώστε να λειτουργεί και ως κλειστό γήπεδο mini basketball με προδιαγραφές FIBA θα έχει δυο πλευρές με μεγάλα ανοίγματα στο Νότο και στη Δύση, ενώ από την πλευρά του σχολείου δε θα είναι καν αντιληπτό ότι υπάρχει υπόγειος όροφος ως προς το προαύλιο.
