The NIS Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council concerning measures for a high common level of security of network and information systems across the Union. Projekt obejmuje przeprowadzenie badań przemysłowych i prac rozwojowych czego rezultatem będzie innowacyjny konwerter EKM_Smart umożliwiający dostosowanie urządzeń wyposażonych jedynie w komunikacyjne porty szeregowe RS do wymagań sieci Ethernet oraz obsługę znacznej liczby i zróżnicowanych protokołów komunikacyjnych wykorzystywanych w urządzeniach oraz systemach nadrzędnych. Konwerter EKM_Smart umożliwi także implementowanie własnych lub zewnętrznych dedykowanych protokołów. Produkt będzie przystosowany do zapisów nowej Ustawy o krajowym systemie cyberbezpieczeństwa, która wdraża do polskiego porządku prawnego tzw. Dyrektywę NIS Parlamentu Europejskiego i Rady w sprawie środków na rzecz wysokiego wspólnego poziomu bezpieczeństwa sieci i systemów informatycznych na terytorium Unii. Dyrektywa ta nakazuje operatorom infrastruktury krytycznej na dostosowanie swoich systemów informatycznych i infrastruktury sieciowej do najnowszych wymogów. (Polish)
