Edukacijsko-informativnim aktivnostima želi se stanovnike na području grada Otočca i općina Brinje i Vrhovine naučiti kako da odgovorno postupaju s otpadom u smislu da odvojeno sakupljaju isti, da spriječe njegovo nastajanje, da kućno kompostiranje postane svakodnevnica u kućanstvima, da se počne prakticirati ponovna upotreba predmeta i na kraju da dođe do smanjenja otpada koji će se voziti na odlagalište.
