Svrha projekta je doprinos unapređenju obrazovne infrastrukture u gradu Vukovaru i regiji. Kroz izradu cjelokupne projektno-tehničke dokumentacije ispunjen je preduvjet za projekt izgradnje i opremanja nove, moderne i energetski učinkovite zgrade Ekonomske škole s pripadajućom sportskom dvoranom (šifra projekta u Intervencijskom planu 1RP2). Izgradnjom će se unaprijediti kvaliteta obrazovanja i društvenog sadržaja grada Vukovara te doprinijeti većoj zapošljivosti stanovništva i društveno-gospodarskom rastu regije, odnosno doprinjeti razvojnom prioritetu IP-a 1RP.
