Svrha i cilj ovog projekta je organizacijska reforma PBF-a kroz osnivanje Središta za razvoj inovativnih tehnika procesiranja hrane što će imati za posljedicu jačanje kapaciteta za istraživanje, razvoj i inovacije, rast konkurentnosti i otvaranje novih radnih mjesta, te razvoj znanstvenoistraživačke-obrazovne i tehnološke infrastrukture. Osnivanje istog će poboljšati transfer tehnologije i znanja, stvaranje i testiranje ideja, te suradnja između znanstvenika i gospodarstva.
