A SOUND UNDERSTANDING OF THE BASIC PRINCIPLES OF THE NATURAL WORLD AND OF BASIC SCIENTIFIC CONCEPTS ARE THE BASIS FOR THE ACQUISITION OF THE KEY COMPETENCES OF LIFELONG LEARNING AND MUST THEREFORE BE BUILT FROM THE YOUNG ET.
