Celem bezpośrednim projektu jest utworzenie w centrum ochrony różnorodności biologicznej w Arboretum SGGW w Rogowie Ogrodu Ginących Roślin Świata. Cel zostanie osiągnięty poprzez realizację zadań polegających głównie na pracach budowlanych oraz doposażeniu m.in. w małą architekturę oraz nasadzeniach i sztucznych siedliskach pozwalających na uprawę gatunków o specyficznych wymaganiach uprawowych. Pozwoli to na propagowanie pozytywnych przykładów ratowania ginących gatunków w ramach ochrony ex situ oraz zastosowanie odpowiednich mechanizmów ochrony bioróżnorodności. Przedsięwzięcie sprzyjać będzie powstrzymaniu aktualnej tendencji zmniejszania się liczby gatunków oraz poprawy ochrony gatunków zagrożonych. Realizacja celu pozwoli na wsparcie i rozwój Arboretum - centrum ochrony różnorodności biologicznej, ośrodka edukacji ekologicznej oraz na ochronę cennych zbiorowisk roślinnych. Celem pośrednim projektu jest ochrona różnorodności biologicznej poprzez działania ukierunkowane na ochronę najbogatszych i najlepiej udokumentowanych w kraju kolekcji roślin chronionych i zagrożonych, znajdujących się w Arboretum w Rogowie oraz edukację ekologiczną prowadzoną przez Leśny Zakład Doświadczalny w Rogowie, stanowiący jedno z najważniejszych centrów edukacji ekologicznej w województwie łódzkim. Efektem realizacji projektu będzie upowszechnienie świadomości ochrony środowiska przyrodniczego w woj. łódzkim na bazie doświadczenia i bogatych zbiorów gatunków zagrożonych jednej z nielicznych w Polsce placówek - Arboretum w Rogowie, gdzie znajdują się liczne rzadkie i zagrożone wyginięciem gatunki oraz prowadzi się intensywne eksperymenty z introdukcją i aklimatyzacją nowych, nie uprawianych dotychczas w Polsce roślin pochodzących z różnych części świata. Cel ten mierzony będzie liczbą osób korzystających z centrów edukacji ekologicznej - 42 tys. osób rocznie. Grupą docelową projektu będą mieszkańcy województwa łódzkiego, w tym dzieci i młodzież oraz studenci SGGW i turyści. (Polish)

The direct objective of the project is to establish at the Centre for the Protection of Biodiversity at the Arboretum of the SGGW in the Horn of the Garden of Whipping Plants of the World. The objective will be achieved by carrying out tasks consisting mainly of construction work and retrofitting, inter alia, with small architecture, plantings and artificial habitats allowing the cultivation of species with specific crop requirements. This will promote positive examples of saving extinct species as part of ex-situ conservation and the use of appropriate mechanisms to protect biodiversity. The project will help to halt the current decline in the number of species and to improve the conservation of endangered species. Achieving the objective will help to support and develop Arboretum – a centre for biodiversity protection, an eco-education centre and to protect valuable plant communities. The indirect objective of the project is to protect biodiversity through measures aimed at protecting the richest and best documented collections of protected and endangered plants located in the Arboretum in Rogowo and ecological education conducted by the Forest Experimental Plant in Rogowo, one of the most important ecological education centres in the Łódź Voivodeship. The result of the project will be to raise awareness of the protection of the natural environment in the Łódź Voivodeship based on experience and rich collections of endangered species, one of the few sites in Poland – Arboretum in Rogowo, where there are numerous rare and endangered species and intensive experiments with the introduction and acclimatisation of new plants not grown in Poland so far from various parts of the world. This target will be measured by the number of people using environmental education centres – 42 people per year. The target group of the project will be residents of the Łódź Voivodeship, including children and young people, students of the SGGW and tourists. (English)
