Celem projektu jest uzyskanie w drodze przeprowadzonych prac B+R znaczących nowości w rozwiązaniu produktowym oraz skomercjalizowanie rezultatów przedsięwzięcia w ramach działalności gospodarczej wnioskodawcy. Nowa szczepionka będzie przeznaczona dla prosiąt w wieku okołoodsadzeniowym, do stosowana w wodzie do picia i zostanie zaoferowana producentom trzody w cenie niższej niż konkurencyjne produkty. Nowości uzyskanych rozwiązań ze względu na spektrum i skuteczność działania znacząco przewyższą jakościowo obecną ofertę konkurencji i przyczynią się do szybszego odkrycia szczepionki skierowanej przeciwko wszystkim bakteriom z rodziny Enterobacteriaceae, do której należy także E.coli. Według WHO na 4,5 miliarda przypadków zachorowań, zatrucia pokarmowe są przyczyną 1,9 mln zgonów rocznie i pod względem śmiertelności zajmują trzecie miejsce wśród chorób trapiących ludzi na całym świecie. Straty bezpośrednie i pośrednie generowane przez jednostki chorobowe PWD i ED stanowią obecnie jeden z najpoważniejszych ekonomicznie problemów w produkcji żywca świńskiego w skali globalnej. Na rozmiary problemu nakładają się aktualne przepisy zakazujące stosowania antybiotyków oraz nowe zakazy stosowania tlenku cynku w dodatkach do pasz, jako wspomagania w leczeniu antybiotykowym podczas infekcji bakteryjnych. The aim of the project is to obtain, through R & D works carried out, significant novelties in the product solution and commercialising the results of the project in the context of the applicant’s business activity. The new vaccine will be intended for piglets of peri-weaning age, for use in drinking water and will be offered to pig producers at a price lower than competing products. The new solutions obtained due to the spectrum and effectiveness will significantly outweigh the current offer of competition and will contribute to faster discovery of a vaccine directed against all bacteria of the Enterobacteriaceae family, which also includes E.coli. According to the WHO, for 4.5 billion cases, food poisoning causes 1.9 million deaths per year and ranks third among human diseases worldwide in terms of mortality. The direct and indirect losses generated by disease units PWD and ED are currently one of the most serious problems in the production of pig live on a global scale. Current antibiotics bans and new bans on the use of zinc oxide in feed additives are overlapping the size of the problem as an aid to antibiotic treatment during bacterial infections.
