Předmětem projektu je výstavba nové tramvajové trati o délce 912 m a rekonstrukce stávající v délce 455 m od zastávky Osová do areálu Univerzitní kampus Bohunice. Projekt reaguje na rozšiřování aktivit a služeb Kampusu MU a Fakultní nemocnice Brno a chystanou výstavbu (sportovní hala, bydlení) v dané oblasti. Významná brněnská rozvojová oblast tak získá kvalitní a kapacitní napojení na síť veřejné dopravy, které v současné době citelně chybí a jejíž absence omezuje další rozvoj oblasti. (Czech)

The object of the project is the construction of a new tram line with a length of 912 m and reconstruction of the existing 455 m from the Osová stop to the premises of the University Campus Bohunice. The project responds to the expansion of the activities and services of the MU campus and the University Hospital Brno and the construction (sport hall, housing) in the given area is underway. The important Brno development area will thus obtain a high quality and capacity connection to the public transport network, which is currently lacking and the absence of which limits further development of the area.
