V lesích Krkonoš dochází vlivem abiotických a biotických činitelů k narušování ekosystému lesa. Správa KRNAP se dlouhodobě snaží realizací různých opatření k nastolení maximální rovnováhy a stability lesního ekosystému. Jedním z biotických činitelů škod na lesním ekosystému je zvěř.
