Účelem projektu je řešení odprášení horkých dopravních cest aglomerátu vč. chlazení aglomerátu. Horké dopravní cesty zahrnují veškerou pásovou dopravu za prvním stupněm třídění aglomerátu (stávající třídič Hewitt-Robins), tj. článkový dopravník č. 98 a chladič aglomerátu vč. výsypu aglomerátu z chladiče na dopravní pás.
