Projekt řeší zvýšení kapacity ČOV Slaný - Blahotice na 16000 EO a zlepšení jejího čistícího efektu především v ukazatelích znečištění dusíkatými látkami. Navržena je rekonstrukce technologické linky, spočívající v modernizaci objektu hrubého předčištění, rekonstrukci odlehčovací komory, instalaci česlí a vírového separátoru, instalaci primární sedimentace, která sníží zatížení biologického stupně a rekonstrukci kalového hospodářství s energetickým využitím bioplynu.
