Implementace nového informačního systému pro dohled nad hazardními hrami je podložena zákonem o hazardních č. 186/2016 Sb. účinném od 1.1.2017. Nový informační systém umožní regulaci, průběžné kontroly a celkový monitoring oblasti hazardních her. Opatření s tím související povedou k snížení počtu nelegálních provozovatelů hazardních her a loterií, k snížení daňových úniků, k omezení praní špinavých peněz, k snížení počtu závislých osob na hazardních hrách a ke zvýšení daňových výnosů.
