Intenzifikace stávající čistírny odpadních vod vychází z nutnosti její modernizace dané jednak jejím hydraulickým přetížením v důsledku nevhodného řešení nátoku odpadních vod z podtlakové kanalizace a především archaickým technickým řešením koncepce technologické linky ČOV, která odpovídá podobným zařízením z 30. let minulého století. ČOV v současné době není schopna trvalé nitrifikace a denitrifikace, odbourávání fosforu nad hranici biologického metabolismu a tím plnit legislativní požadavky. (Czech)
