Projekt řeší výstavbu dvou retenčních nádrží a zahrazení strže za účelem protipovodňové ochrany zastavěného území. Realizací opatření dojde ke snížení povodňového rizika pro stávající zástavbu rodinných domů a dopravní infrastrukturu. Zahrazením strže dojde k zamezení nekontrolované vodní eroze a usměrnění toku do dvou níže položených retenčních nádrží, které zajistí zpomalení odtoku srážkových vod, sníží kulminaci povodňové vlny a umožní její plynulé a bezpečné převedení.
