Projekt má za cíl rozvoj inovativních technologií pro dosažení zákaznických požadavků s ohledem na kvalitu, rychlost, náklady a ekologii při zavádění výroby automobilových komponent. S rostoucími požadavky na snižování hmotností komponent a stále rozšířenější integraci elektroniky do jednotlivých komponent automobilu nelze dosáhnout tohoto cíle pouze za pomoci konvenčních technologií a metod.
