Věcnou náplní projektu je výzkum a vývoj kogenerační technologie malého výkonu (1 až 5 kWe) pro využití nízkopotenciálního tepla (z libovolného zdroje) na principu Organického Rankinova cyklu (ORC). Jde o obnovitelný zdroj energie s nulovými emisemi CO2, přičemž samotná jednotka nespotřebovává žádné palivo z primárních zdrojů.
