Cílem předkládaného projektu je vytvoření nové výzkumně inovační kapacity, jež umožní výzkum, vývoj a inovace v oblasti produkce mikrobiální biomasy pro účely spojené primárně s ochranou a zlepšováním životního prostředí a sekundárně s dalšími průmyslovými odvětvími.
