    Do roku 2020 Gmina Miejska Wałcz dokona wymiany 1100 sztuk punktów świetlnych w mieście na energooszczędne typu LED. Aktualnie na terenie Gminy Miejskiej Wałcz występuje oświetlenie uliczne w zdecydowanej większości oparte na źródłach światła sodowych oraz w niewielkiej ilości na żarówkach rtęciowych i metalohal. W całym systemie na terenie miasta zainstalowanych jest 2540 punktów świetlnych z czego 2427 szt. żarówek sodowych. Przewidywane do modernizacji oświetlenie miejskie oświetla zarówno ulice jak i chodniki, place, skwery, budynki użyteczności publicznej oraz mieszkalne. Łącznie w ramach projektu wymianie ulegnie 1100 szt. oświetlenia ulicznego co stanowi około 40% całości oświetlenia w Mieście, projekt jest więc zgodny z zapisami regulaminu. (Polish)
