The planned project aims at preserving and sustainable use of natural and cultural resources. In order to promote the natural and cultural heritage as a very valuable asset of the region, it is envisaged to adapt it to sustainable tourism activities. In the course of the project, the recreational areas will be determined along with their development in the area of the city, i.e. the extension of the promenade of the park on foot-bike along the river Orzysza, along with the infrastructure accompanying m. It is planned to create a multifunctional space that acts as a cultural space. This space gives both the possibility of passing and stopping. As a public space, it will combine various requirements and forms of its use.The project fits into the objective of sub-measure 6.2.3 Efficient use of the resources of the Regional Operational Programme Warmia and Mazury 2014-2020, which is to maintain the competitive advantage of Warmia and Mazury over other regions based on natural heritage resources. Planowany projekt ma na celu zachowanie oraz zrównoważone wykorzystanie zasobów- przyrodniczych i kulturowych. W celu promowania dziedzictwa przyrodniczego i kulturowego jako bardzo cennego atutu regionu, przewidziane jest dostosowanie go do zrównoważonych działań turystycznych. Dzięki przebudowie promenady wraz z infrastrukturą towarzyszącą liczba odwiedzających ten zmodernizowany teren wzrośnie o 1000 osób, dając docelowo 1500 osób w roku,w którym nastąpi zakończenie projektu.W ramach realizacji projektu przewidziane jest wytyczenie terenów rekreacyjnych wraz z ich zagospodarowaniem na terenie miasta tj. rozbudowę promenady pieszo-rowerowej wzdłuż rzeki Orzyszy wraz z infrastrukturą towarzyszącą m. in. budowa placu zabaw, budowa ścieżki pieszo-rowerowej o długości 0,65 km,budowa ścieżek parkowych wraz z montażem małej architektury i urządzeń wielofunkcyjnych, budowę skate parku, montaż altany ogrodowej, zagospodarowanie terenów zielonych poprzez nasadzenia, promocje projektu.Projekt zrealizowany będzie zgodnie z projektem technicznym na działkach o nr 197/10,192/8,193/2,194/35,195/15,249,89/27,89/29,24/98,24/115,24/57.Przeprowadzenie powyższej inwestycji przy wykorzystaniu lokalnych zasobów ma za zadanie „zadziałać jak magnes” na mieszkańców i turystów, przyciągnąć ich w nowe miejsca, zachęcić do spędzania wolnego czasu aktywnie, w pięknie zagospodarowanym zielenią i architekturą parkową i rekreacyjną na ww. terenie. Planowane jest stworzenie przestrzeni wielofunkcyjnej, pełniącej rolę przestrzeni kulturowej. Przestrzeń ta dawać zarówno możliwość przejścia, jak i zatrzymania się. Będąc przestrzenią publiczną, będzie łączyć różne wymagania i formy jej użytkowania,Projekt wpisuje się w cel poddziałania 6.2.3 Efektywne wykorzystanie zasobów Regionalnego Programu Operacyjnego Warmia i Mazury 2014-2020, jakim jest utrzymanie przewagi konkurencyjnej Warmii i Mazur nad innymi regionami w oparciu o zasoby dziedzictwa naturalnego.
