    Przedmiotem projektu jest wykonanie 120 instalacji OZE, w tym 97 instalacji fotowoltaicznych oraz 23 instalacje kolektorów słonecznych na prywatnych budynkach jednorodzinnych należących do mieszkańców Gminy Świerklaniec. Realizacja projektu przyczyni się do wykorzystania małych źródeł energii, zlokalizowanych blisko odbiorcy, zmniejszających straty przesyłowe oraz zapewniających efekt ekologiczny poprzez wzrost udziału energii odnawialnej w konsumpcji (energetyka rozproszona), a przez to zapewniających dywersyfikację źródeł energii, jak również zwiększających bezpieczeństwo energetyczne regionu przy wykorzystaniu naturalnych uwarunkowań i lokalnych potencjałów. Celem projektu jest zwiększenie wielkości produkcji energii elektrycznej i cieplnej pochodzącej z odnawialnych źródeł energii w Gminie, poprawa jakości powietrza atmosferycznego w Gminie, podniesienie jakości i poziomu życia społeczności lokalnej.
