The project will contribute to the development of a coherent and functional road network in the Silesian Voivodeship and the City of Bielsko-Biała – in particular with expressways S-1, S-69, followed by national roads 1 and 52. Improving road parameters will increase traffic flow, eliminate bottlenecks and improve the safety of road users. Residents of Bielsko-Biała City and nearby communes (Jawor, Jasienica) will gain easier and safer access to nodes with the TEN-T network (S1, S69) and to economic centres (investment areas) located in Bielsko-Biała. Inwestycja polega na: - rozbudowie ul. Międzyrzeckiej wraz z rozbudową węzła z drogą ekspresową S-1 po stronie północnej oraz południowej na odcinku o długości 1,75 km, - budowie nowego odcinka ul. Międzyrzeckiej o długości 0,7 km, - rozbudowie ul. Cieszyńskiej na odcinku o długości 3,52 km. Projekt przyczyni się do rozwoju spójnej i funkcjonalnej sieci dróg na terenie województwa śląskiego oraz Miasta Bielska-Białej – w szczególności z drogami ekspresowymi S-1, S-69, w dalszej kolejności z drogą krajową nr 1 oraz 52. Poprawa parametrów drogi zwiększy płynność ruchu, przyczyni się do wyeliminowania „wąskich gardeł” oraz poprawi bezpieczeństwo uczestników ruchu drogowego. Mieszkańcy Miasta Bielska-Białej oraz pobliskich gmin (Jaworze, Jasienica) uzyskają łatwiejszy i bezpieczniejszy dostęp do węzłów z siecią TEN-T (S1, S69) oraz do ośrodków gospodarczych (terenów inwestycyjnych) zlokalizowanych w Bielsku-Białej. Rozbudowa przyczyni się do podniesienia nośności drogi do 115 kN/oś. (Polish)
