Przedmiotem projektu są działania usytuowane w spływie wód rzeki Wierzycy. Są to zadania zmierzające do odpowiedniego zagospodarowania wód opadowych i roztopowych stanowiących zagrożenie powodziowe dla obszaru miasta Kościerzyna. W ramach projektu zostaną zrealizowane 4etapy: I-Osiedle Zachód:budowa systemu kan. deszczowej o dł.5,95km z budową 2 zbiorników retencyjnych o poj.2201 m3, II-Osiedle Tysiąclecie II:budowa systemu kan. deszczowej o dł.3,45km z budową 2 zbiorników retencyjnych o poj.3945 m3, III-Osiedle Za Torami:budowa systemu kan. deszczowej o dł.5,57km z budową 3 zbiorników retencyjnych o poj.6680 m3, IV-regulacja zlewni rzeki Bibrowej:budowa systemu kan.deszczowej o dł.0,40km z budową 1 zbiornika retencyjnych o poj.4940 m3 oraz wykonanie łuku rzeki Bibrowej z odbudową koryta i systemu podczyszczania wód opadow.
