Budynek oświatowo-komunalny objęty projektem znajduje się w Sierakowie Śląskim przy ul. Szkolnej 2. Właścicielem budynku jest Gmina Ciasna. Budynek podzielony jest na dwie części: część oświatową mieszczącą sale lekcyjne (gimnazjum) i część komunalną, w której znajduje się pięć lokali mieszkalnych. Zakres kompleksowej termomodernizacji przedmiotowego budynku obejmuje następujące główne zadania: 1. Zakup i montaż kotłów gazowych wraz z niezbędnymi robotami w obrębie źródła ciepła. 2. Wykonanie instalacji wewnętrznej centralnego ogrzewania. 3. Wykonanie instalacji wodno-kanalizacyjnej. 4. Docieplenie budynku - docieplenie ścian zewnętrznych styropianem grubości 14 cm, cokołów i stropu nad ostatnią kondygnacją oraz wymianę stolarki okiennej i drzwiowej. Realizacja projektu poprawi izolacyjność termiczną przegród zewnętrznych budynku i pozwoli zmniejszyć zużycie energii potrzebnej do jego ogrzania, jednocześnie eliminując istniejące wady technologiczne (mostki termiczne, nieszczelności).
