The main objective of the project is to strengthen competitiveness and increase the level of innovation of the Applicant by purchasing the necessary research infrastructure and establishing a research and development centre for environmental heating boilers DREW-MET. The creation of a CBR, including the Construction Development Office and the Department of Heater Research and Air Heaters, will enable full R & D activities in the Applicant’s enterprise. Drew-MET has been carrying out R & D work since 2015, but the lack of infrastructure was a major limitation of the subject matter and scope of this work. The main objective will be pursued through the following specific objectives: 1. Implementation of a research programme covering R & D work on new and significantly improved products; 2. Diversification of DREW-MET activities through the implementation of R & D results in production; 3. Investment in tangible fixed assets related to the purchase of the necessary research infrastructure; 4. Optimising horizontal policy aspects (sustainable development, equal opportunities and non-discrimination); The need to diversify the applicant’s activities stems from increasing market trends: the falling interest of customers in solid fuel boilers and the growing interest of customers with green solid fuel boilers. The total volume of sales of solid fuel boilers is decreasing, but the percentage of sales of organic solid fuel boilers increases year after year. The implementation of this project will contribute to achieving the ambitious strategic objectives of DREW-MET: • Increasing brand recognition and company prestige, • Improving R & D and development capabilities of DREW-MET, • Increasing the ability to create innovativeness of the company, • Strengthening cooperation with scientific units, • Building a competitive advantage, • Acquiring new customers. Głównym celem projektu jest wzmocnienie konkurencyjności i podniesienie poziomu innowacyjności Wnioskodawcy, poprzez zakup niezbędnej infrastruktury badawczej i utworzenie Centrum Badawczo-Rozwojowego ekologicznych kotłów grzewczych DREW-MET. Utworzenie CBR, obejmującego Biuro Rozwoju Konstrukcji oraz Dział Badań Kotłów Grzewczych i Ogrzewaczy Powietrza, umożliwi pełne prowadzenie działalności badawczo-rozwojowej w przedsiębiorstwie Wnioskodawcy. DREW-MET realizuje prace B+R od 2015 r., jednakże brak infrastruktury był poważnym ograniczeniem przedmiotu oraz zakresu tych prac. Cel główny będzie realizowany poprzez następujące cele szczegółowe: 1. Realizacja programu badawczego obejmującego prace B+R nad nowymi i znacząco udoskonalonymi produktami; 2. Dywersyfikacja działalności DREW-MET, poprzez wdrożenie wyników prowadzonych prac B+R do produkcji; 3. Inwestycja w rzeczowe aktywa trwałe związana z zakupem niezbędnej infrastruktury badawczej; 4. Optymalizacja aspektów związanych z politykami horyzontalnymi (zrównoważony rozwój, równość szans i niedyskryminacji); Potrzeba dywersyfikacji działalności Wnioskodawcy wynika z nasilających się trendów rynkowych: spadającego zainteresowania klientów kotłami na paliwa stała oraz rosnącego zainteresowania klientów ekologicznymi kotłami na paliwa stałe. Spada całościowy wolumen sprzedaży kotłów na paliwo stała, jednakże w jego obrębie z roku na rok rośnie procentowy udział sprzedaży ekologicznych kotłów na paliwo stałe. Realizacja przedmiotowego projektu przyczyni się do osiągnięcia ambitnych celów strategicznych DREW-MET, jakimi są: • Wzrost rozpoznawalności marki i prestiżu firmy, • Poprawa zdolności badawczo-rozwojowych DREW-MET, • Podniesienie możliwości kreowania innowacyjności firmy, • Wzmocnienie współpracy z jednostkami naukowymi, • Zbudowanie przewagi konkurencyjnej, • Pozyskanie nowych klientów.
