The aim of the project is to implement a comprehensive educational and health campaign, including screening, multi-component health programmes, information and education activities aimed at residents of the district of Opole, Grodzka – among others Opole, Nysk and Prudnicki, in order to reduce obesity, overweight, risk of diabetes in children aged 6 to 18 years and in adults between 45 and 65 years of age. The need to implement the project stems from the problems identified: — a systematic increase in the number of overweight and obese children, the problem of weight increased in 2013 was 23.8 % of children aged 7-16 years, which placed Opole Voivodeship 4th in Poland – an epidemic of diabetes. Currently, 3 million people suffer from diabetes in Poland. Every 10 pp. in the world diabetes is diagnosed in another person, every 6 s. someone dies because of its complications – in Poland it is 30,000 people per year. (Blue Book of Diabetes, Warsaw, 2013). The number of cases among the youngest and in those aged 45-65 is increasing. In 2014, the number of people treated for diabetes in the Opole Voivodeship in this age range increased by 9.9 % compared to 2013. — the intensity of obesity in the Nysa County. Out of the 929 obesity patients in the Opolskie Voivodeship in 2013-57, 16 % come from the area covered by the project, and as much as 1/3 from the Nysa district. In order to prevent health problems caused by poor eating habits, lack of exercise – leading to obesity and overweight, actions will be taken within the framework of the project, supervised by the substantive Council. Composition of the Council: internalist,dietist,pediatrician, physiotherapist,diabetologist, PhD in humanities Council tasks: documentation preparation: participants’ cards, individual programs, health journals, satisfaction surveys, questionnaires of family interviews, qualification rules for participation in the project (conditions, criteria for transition to stage II), substantive supervision of activities, cooperation with the Management Board of Woj.     Przedmiotem projektu jest zrealizowanie kompleksowej kampanii edukacyjno-zdrowotnej obejmującej m.in. badania przesiewowe,multikomponentalne programy zdrowotne, działania informacyjno-edukacyjne skierowane do mieszkańców powiatu opolskiego, grodzkiego - m. Opole, nyskiego oraz prudnickiego, w celu zmniejszenia otyłości, nadwagi, zagrożenia cukrzycą u dzieci w wieku od 6 do 18 lat oraz u dorosłych między 45 a 65 rokiem życia. Potrzeba realizacji projektu wynika z dostrzeżonych problemów: - systematyczny wzrost liczby dzieci z nadwagą i otyłych, problem zwiększonej masy ciała dotyczył w 2013 r. 23,8% dzieci w wieku 7-16 lat, co plasowało woj. opolskie na 4 miejscu w Polsce - epidemia cukrzycy. Obecnie na cukrzycę choruje 3 mln osób w Polsce. Co 10 s. na świecie diagnozuje się cukrzycę u kolejnej osoby, co 6 s. ktoś umiera z powodu jej powikłań -w Polsce to 30 000 osób rocznie. (Niebieska Księga Cukrzycy, Warszawa, 2013). Wzrasta liczba zachorowań wśród najmłodszych oraz u osób w wieku 45- 65 lat. W 2014 r. liczba osób leczonych na cukrzycę w woj. opolskim w tym przedziale wiekowym wzrosła o 9,9% w stosunku do roku 2013. - natężenie liczby osób otyłych w powiecie nyskim. Spośród 929 osób leczonych na otyłość w woj. opolskim w 2013 r. – 57, 16% pochodzi z obszaru objętego projektem, a aż 1/3 z powiatu nyskiego. Aby zapobiec problemom zdrowotnym spowodowanych nieodpowiednimi nawykami żywieniowymi, brakiem ruchu – prowadzących do otyłości i nadwagi zostaną podjęte działania w ramach projektu, nadzorowane przez Radę Merytoryczną. Skład Rady:internista,dietetyk,pediatra, fizjoterapeuta,diabetolog, dr nauk humanistycznych Zadania Rady: opracowanie dokumentacji: kart uczestnika, indywidualnych programów, dzienników zdrowia, ankiet satysfakcji, kwestionariusza wywiadów rodzinnych, regulaminu kwalifikacji do udziału w projekcie (warunków, kryteriów przejścia do II etapu), nadzór merytoryczny nad działaniami, współpraca z Zarządem Woj.
