The primary objective of the project is to prevent natural disasters, including floods, and minimise their effects in rural municipalities: Słubice, Sanniki, Youth, Rybno and Iłów in the valley “Ilovsko-Dobrzykowska”. The scope of the investment includes the reconstruction of the pumping room building together with the associated facilities in such a way as to ensure that the requirements of the applicable standards and regulations are met. The purpose of the pumping room is to maintain the ability to regulate water levels in the water catchments of the sea urchin and the H channel by maintaining the water supply to the pumping room at such a level as to limit, during flood surges, the negative effects of filtering waters through the Vistula riverbanks of the sea urchin and the H Canal on agricultural areas located in the Valley. The pumping plant is highly exploited, emergency and technologically outdated and therefore the existing infrastructure does not fulfil its role. The last renovation was done in 1997. As a result of the long-term operation of the pumping plant, both pumps, fittings, electrical installation and construction components have been significantly used. In view of the above, it is envisaged to reconstruct the pumping plant in the scope of: — construction (building of pump station and Trafostation building); — technological (exchange of pumps with fittings, control and automation system, installation of monitoring of pumps’ operating system, installation of the monitoring system of water states of the Vistula river and in the levelling tank and installation of electric drives of shaft valves); electrical (internal electrical installations) and land management (replacement and repair of fences, repair of internal roads). In order to ensure a higher level of flood protection for parts of the valley and the catchment area of the H Canal and the river of urchin, as well as to reduce the costs associated with the maintenance of the pumping plant, the pumping plant should be rebuilt in this respect, making it more economical and environmentally friendly. Ostatni remont wykonano w 1997r.
