Projekt pn.: „Wzmocnienie potencjału ochotniczych straży pożarnych poprzez zakup samochodu ratowniczo-gaśniczego dla OSP Brochów” przewiduje zakup nowego średniego samochodu ratowniczo-gaśniczego wraz ze sprzętem specjalistycznym niezamontowanym na stałe tj. zestaw ratownictwa technicznego i medycznego, motopompa pływająca oraz agregat prądotwórczy. Realizacja projektu jest niezbędna ze względu na niewystarczającą liczbę samochodów oraz stary, wyeksploatowany sprzęt ratowniczo-gaśniczy. Obecny samochód jakim dysponują strażacy w wyniku wieloletniej eksploatacji (wóz ma 26 lat) jest już zawodny. W ostatnich latach wielokrotnie był naprawiany, przez co nie zawsze był dostępny na miejscu w jednostce. Dalsza eksploatacja niniejszego wyposażenia wiąże się z ryzykiem niedostatecznej interwencji, przede wszystkim z wydłużeniem czasu potrzebnego do ochrony przed zagrożeniem i minimalizowania skutków tych zagrożeń, a także znacznym ograniczeniem możliwości udzielenia pomocy osobom poszkodowanym. Głównym celem projektu, zgodnie z celem działania 5.1. RPO WM jest efektywniejsze zapobieganie katastrofom naturalnym, w tym powodziom i minimalizowanie ich skutków. Beneficjentem ostatecznym będzie społeczeństwo lokalne, na rzecz którego świadczone są usługi ratowniczo-gaśnicze - szacuje się, że 470 osób odniesie korzyść w ramach realizacji przedsięwzięcia. Poza zapewnieniem odpowiedniego wyposażenia i zwiększenia dzięki temu efektywności funkcjonowania OSP Brochów, realizacja projektu pozytywnie wpłynie na poprawę bezpieczeństwa strażaków, mieszkańców gminy, powiatu i całego województwa. Strażacy będą mogli szybciej interweniować, a tym samym podniesie się jakość ich pracy. Zadanie wpłynie również na poprawę jakości środowiska, usuwanie skutków zagrożeń takich jak powodzie, pożary, huragany oraz skróci się czas reakcji na zagrożenia środowiskowe. (Polish)

Project BC: “Strengthening the potential of voluntary fire brigades through the purchase of a rescue and fire-extinguishing vehicle for OSP Brochów” provides for the purchase of a new medium rescue and fire-extinguishing vehicle together with specialised equipment not permanently installed, i.e. technical and medical rescue kit, floating motopompa and power generator. Implementation of the project is necessary due to insufficient number of cars and old, well-exploited rescue and fire-extinguishing equipment. The current car with firefighters as a result of long-term operation (the car is 26 years old) is already unreliable. In recent years it has been repaired several times, so it has not always been available on site in the unit. The continued operation of this equipment entails the risk of insufficient intervention, in particular extending the time needed to protect against and minimise the effects of these risks, as well as a significant limitation on the possibility of providing assistance to victims. The main objective of the project, in line with the objective of action 5.1. The WM ROP is more effective in preventing and minimising natural disasters, including floods. The final beneficiary will be the local society for which rescue and firefighting services are provided – it is estimated that 470 people will benefit from the implementation of the project. Apart from providing adequate equipment and increasing the efficiency of the Brochów OSP, the implementation of the project will positively improve the safety of firefighters, residents of the commune, county and the whole voivodship. Firefighters will be able to intervene faster and thus improve the quality of their work. The task will also improve the quality of the environment, address the effects of risks such as floods, fires, hurricanes and reduce the response time to environmental threats. (English)
