The aim of the project is to implement innovative solutions both within the product and the process. Planned innovations in Mirwalu’s activities are the result of self-contained R & D works aimed at developing an innovative technology for the production of cotton knitwear for high tech sportswear using atmospheric plasma. The implemented R & D results were submitted for patent protection as an invention entitled. ‘The method of giving knitted cotton hydrophobic properties on the outer and hydrophilic side on the underside’ and is currently not used anywhere in the world. Based on the above-mentioned technologies, the company will launch the production of knitted cotton fabrics with unknown features and functionalities, such as: — super hydrophobicity of the outer layer; — hydrophilicity of the undercoat; — the ability of the undercoat to transmit water vapour outside the knitted fabric; — antibacterial and antifungal properties obtained by nanoparticles of titanium dioxide which are harmless to the human body; — UV barrier; — digital printing on knitted fabrics with higher intensity of applied colours and durability of colouring. In order to implement the R & D results in the company and start the production of new products on the basis of them, it is necessary to acquire a technological line consisting of: knitting machines, high-temperature dyeing machines, stabiliser, scratchers, digital printers, staples, inserts into the comparator, knitted or crocheted browsers, knitted fabric cleaning machines, plasma generator, quality control equipment, compression and air treatment stations, and print pattern design software, which is a material scope of the project. The direct result of the project will also be to increase employment in the company and to have a positive impact on sustainable development policy. (English)

(Polish)
