The project will carry out industrial research and development work aimed at developing and composing a new collection of large-format tiles (from designing and testing ceramic mass, selecting appropriate raw materials, conducting tests in close to production conditions, to designing graphics and producing prototypes and testing prototypes on a production scale). These products will be produced in innovative pressing technology using rollers. New designs will be a novelty on the market. This will be the first implementation of the products produced in this technology, and the project will help overcome technological barriers and acquire new knowledge. The project requires research, technological and physicochemical testing of individual stages of the production process of large-format plates. Breaking down technological barriers for an innovative process will allow large-format products not available using traditional ceramic tiles technology. For this purpose, the following main steps are planned within the framework of the research project: • Industrial research in verifying the compatibility of raw materials with cylindrical ironing technology. • Experimental development work (PR) – verification of raw materials and masses on production – semi-production tests. • PR – creating prototypes of tiles for 12 new collections • PR – technological tests on the production line. To implement the project, the applicant plans to involve its own personal resources. The results obtained as a result of the research will be implemented by the Applicant in his own business. This will result in diversification of this activity, i.e. extending the range to include new large-format ceramic tiles and diffusion effect (cooperation within the project with the company Lubrina – Company Lubrina and scientific unit – Institute of Ceramics and Materi (English)

Przedsięwzięcie wymaga przeprowadzenia badań, prób technologicznych i fizykochemicznych poszczególnych etapów procesu produkcji płyt dużego formatu.
