“Polish Theatre Perspectives” (PTP) is a series of artistic and scientific publications that gathers international perspectives on issues related to theatre and drama. Using different languages, PTP will create a digital tool that enables communication between the local and international communities, adapted to the requirements of the global reality in which its participants move. The project concerns the implementation of software the functionality of which consists of two interrelated areas: online publishing and social networking. Its products and services include: — journal, e-books and films, providing exemplary elaborations of English and Polish-speaking sources, – advanced e-publishing tools using international standards (e.g. in creating metadata and indexing), – professional profiles for exposing the artistic and scientific achievements of individual and institutional users in the international environment, – the function of establishing cooperation with other users, – the ‘Open Data’ module, mapping theatre activity in Poland and abroad, and intersection between them, – the translation service. The aim of the PTP is to serve the artistic and scientific environment of the country and the region by providing a tool that enables individuals and organisations to: a) the visibility of its achievements, b) attracting new audiences, c) access to the latest sources in the field of theatre and drama from around the world, d) the opportunity to publish their works in accordance with current publishing and scientific standards, and e) to establish contacts with colleagues abroad on an unprecedented scale. As a result, the project aims to increase the recognition of theatre and, more broadly, Polish culture in the international environment. (English)

(Polish)
