In the municipality of Kaunas, there is a lack of space for at least 57 children aged 3-5. The vast majority of them are 3-4 years old. The parents of preschool children are forced to stay at home or otherwise care for them. This creates inequality of educational opportunities for children from this town. The project has been drawn up in the partnership of the Applicant with the Gmina Kowary as a response to the demands of both parents and local communities themselves. The project involves the creation of a new pre-school facility for 25 children in the existing room available to the municipality of Kowary in the public office. This room will be adapted and equipped with the necessary equipment and teaching aids. The aim of the project is also to guarantee the highest quality of functioning of the facility by providing high-quality educational activities adapted to the specific features of children in the pre-frontier age and by improving the educational opportunities of children and bringing down the deficits of the children’s activities planned in the project. Education of parents is equally important — raising awareness and educational competences is an important factor in children’s educational opportunities — education is also continued at home. This is why we have planned a cycle of workshops with parents, which also has the task of involving parents in educational kindergartens. (English)

    W Gminie Kowary brakuje miejsca dla co najmniej 57 dzieci w wieku 3-5 lat. Zdecydowana większość z nich to 3-4-latki. Rodzice dzieci w wieku przedszkolnym zmuszeni są pozostawać z nimi w domu lub w inny sposób zapewniać im opiekę. Powoduje to nierówność szans edukacyjnych dla dzieci z tej miejscowości. Projekt został przygotowany w partnerstwie Wnioskodawcy z Gminą Kowary jako odpowiedź na zapotrzebowanie społeczne i postulaty samych rodziców i społeczności lokalnej. Projekt zakłada utworzenie nowej placówki przedszkolnej dla 25 dzieci w istniejacym pomieszczeniu będącej w dyspozycji Gminy Kowary w placówce publicznej. Pomieszczenie to zostanie zaadaptowane i wyposażone w niezbędny sprzęt i pomoce dydaktyczne. Celem projektu jest również zagwarantowanie najwyższej jakości funkcjonowania placówki poprzez zapewnienie wysokiej jakości zajęć edukacyjnych dostosowanych do specyfiki dzieci w wieku przedskzolnym oraz zwiększenie szans edukacyjnych dzieci i wyrównanie deficytów dzieki zajęciom dodatkowym zaplanowanym w projekcie. Równie ważna jest edukacja rodziców - zwiększenie świadomości i ich kompetencji wychowawczych jest ważnym czynnikiem zwiekszającym szanse edukacyjne samych dzieci - edukacja jest kontynuowana również w domu. Dlatego też zaplanowaliśmy cykl warsztatów z rodzicami, których zadaniem jest również włączenie rodziców w pracę edukacyjną przedszkola. (Polish)
