The applicant commercialises products under the joint educational brand “Institute B61” on the creative industry market with a special specialisation in the edutainment sector, i.e. the combination of education, entertainment and arts. The strategic goal of the company is to introduce innovative tools and technologies to support the development of new social competences resulting from the development of the information society. The company uses scientific facilities created within the framework of the Kujawsko-Pomeranian Creative Cluster Brewster created by, among others, UMK, entrepreneurs, individual scientists and freelancers and public institutions. As part of the cluster, pilot studies have been carried out to identify the concept of technology and its future applications for the digital product ‘educational chatbot’. It is therefore necessary to carry out R & D works in order to develop and implement the proposed innovative educational chatbot (product innovation) using, among others, achievements of the IT industry in the field of education, edutainment paradigm theory, the so-called 9P principle and the latest concepts and theories of the sciences on the functioning of the mind, with particular attention to the cognitive functions of the cognitive multimedia metaphor. Therefore, in addition to technological research, we have also planned a section dedicated to the production of educational audiovisual material (processing innovation) tailored to the new tool for multi-level narratives. This entails a successive second phase: trimmed basic research and industrial research, and (b) development. The duration of the project is foreseen for a period of 24 months. Implementation of the developed method will allow to adapt the company’s offer to global trends by specialising in the production of multimedia and interactive educational chatbots, accessible to a wide range of recipients, both institutional and individual.
