The subject of the project is the development of R & D infrastructure Consortium of four universities of Kujawsko-Pomorskie voivodship: Kazimierz Wielki University in Bydgoszcz (Leder), the University of Technology and Nature in Bydgoszcz, Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń and the Environmental Management School in Tuchola. The development of infrastructure is a task which translates into the implementation of scientific research aimed at implementing innovative solutions in the economy and developing research potential in the field of food production and safety and food industry (until the end of January 2021). The R & D infrastructure foreseen in the project is complementary to existing resources, including those provided under the 2007-2013 perspective (adjustment of existing R & D infrastructure). The concept of action The Consortium has a local scope, with the possibility of developing towards national and international activities. It includes major research centres in Pomerania and Kujawy, with research capabilities and capabilities in the main areas of the food-producing and processing sector, making it safe, functional and best suited to the individual needs of the consumer.     Przedmiotem przedsięwzięcia jest rozwój infrastruktury B+R Konsorcjum czterech uczelni województwa kujawsko-pomorskiego: Uniwersytetu Kazimierza Wielkiego w Bydgoszczy (Lider), Uniwersytetu Technologiczno-Przyrodniczego w Bydgoszczy, Uniwersytetu Mikołaja Kopernika w Toruniu oraz Wyższej Szkoły Zarządzani Środowiskiem w Tucholi. Rozbudowa infrastruktury jest zadaniem mającym przełożenie na realizację badań naukowych ukierunkowanych na wdrażanie innowacyjnych rozwiązań w gospodarce oraz rozwój potencjału badawczego w zakresie produkcji i bezpieczeństwa żywności oraz przemysłu spożywczego (do końca stycznia 2021 roku). Infrastruktura B+R przewidziana w projekcie stanowi element dopełniający istniejące zasoby, w tym powstałe w ramach wsparcia udzielonego w ramach perspektywy 2007-2013 (dostosowanie istniejącej infrastruktury B+R). Koncepcja działania Konsorcjum ma zasięg lokalny, z możliwością rozwoju w kierunku działań krajowych i międzynarodowych. Obejmuje najważniejsze ośrodki badawcze z terenu Pomorza i Kujaw, mające możliwości i potencjał badawczy z dziedziny głównych obszarów działalności sektora wytwarzającego i przetwarzającego żywność, nadając jej charakter żywności bezpiecznej, funkcjonalnej, najlepiej służącej indywidualnym potrzebom konsumenta.
