Celem projektu jest zapewnienie środków na finansowanie zasobów ludzkich Urzędu Komunikacji Elektronicznej w związku z realizacją systemu PIT umożliwiającego Prezesowi UKE wypełnienie obowiązków ustawowych wynikających z ustawy z dnia 7 maja 2010 r. o wspieraniu rozwoju usług i sieci telekomunikacyjnych (Dz. U. 2016 r. poz. 1537, z póżn. zm.). Konieczność uruchomienia PIT wynika również z implementacji art. 4, 6, 7 i 10 dyrektywy Parlamentu Europejskiego i Rady nr 2014/61/UE z dnia 15 maja 2014 r. w sprawie środków mających na celu zmniejszenie kosztów realizacji szybkich sieci łączności elektronicznej (Dz. Urz. UE L 155 z 23.05.2014, s. 1). PIT ma zapewnić każdemu przedsiębiorcy telekomunikacyjnemu, o ile nie zagraża to bezpieczeństwu państwa, dostęp do posiadanych przez Prezesa UKE informacji związanych z infrastrukturą możliwą do wykorzystania przy świadczeniu usług telekomunikacyjnych. W ramach projektu finansowane będą wynagrodzenia osób zatrudnionych o umowę o pracę w tym: a) dodatki zadaniowe: .280 316,52 zł, b) 291 683,48 zł wynagrodzenia na umowę o pracę wraz z nagrodami.
