The project “Spatial Statistical Data in the State Information System (PDS)” is a response to the needs that emerged after the implementation of the Project Geostatistics Portal – Phase II (PGS-Faza II). The PDS Project will implement tasks aimed at improving and broadening the functionality of the services provided under the PGS-Fase II project and the construction of new advanced spatial services expected by users. The system will provide users of the resulting statistical information with access to data and the ability to perform multidimensional geostatistic analyses, including the preparation of statistical analyses in any space division, e.g. user-defined or taken from external spatial services (WFS). A completely innovative service will be presenting data and analyses in a “dynamic” grid of squares, independent of the administrative division of the country and consistent for all EU countries. Users will also be able to combine their own data with available statistical data, as well as geocoding their own objects. The planned functionalities are the result of an analysis of the needs of groups of stakeholders of public statistics, and the proposed architecture of the solution is based on the results of feasibility analysis and is based on international experience and expertise. The main objective of the Project is to broaden the scope and availability of statistical information and methods of geostatistic analysis using the resources of public statistics, which will translate directly into making the environment available to the public to carry out geostatistical analyses together with the necessary tool software. This task can only be carried out by public statistics, given that the individual data necessary for carrying out analyses are only available in the resources of official statistics. In view of the need for statistical secrecy, such data may not be made available. (English) | |||||||||||||||

(Polish)
