The general objective of the project is to increase universal access to high-quality public sector information from scientific sources at the disposal of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń and the Kazimierz Wielki University in Bydgoszcz, and to enable their re-use, by extending the open scientific source base by 28 thousand digital objects and 15thousand new electronic bibliographic descriptions. This database will be accessible without barriers on the Internet, all standards of digitisation, document description and dissemination will be maintained. The project will carry out activities related to project preparation, digitisation process (selection, conservative maintenance, scanning, image processing, preparation of metadata, preservation of resources, dissemination), retroconversion, project promotion and management.Due to the unlimited scope of the project results, it is possible to identify project recipients both in the region and on a macro scale. The main target group are representatives of the science and teaching sector in Poland: academics, PhD students and students. Celem ogólnym projektu jest zwiększenie powszechnego dostępu do wysokiej jakości informacji sektora publicznego ze źródeł nauki pozostających w dyspozycji Uniwersytetu Mikołaja Kopernika w Toruniu i Uniwersytetu Kazimierza Wielkiego w Bydgoszczy, a także umożliwienie ich ponownego wykorzystania, poprzez poszerzenie otwartej naukowej bazy źródłowej o 28tys.obiektów cyfrowych i 15tys.nowych elektronicznych opisów bibliograficznych. Baza ta będzie dostępna bez barier w Internecie, zachowane zostaną wszystkie standardy digitalizacji, opisywania dokumentów i upowszechniania. W ramach projektu będą realizowane działania związane z przygotowaniem projektu, procesem digitalizacyjnym (selekcja, konserwacja zachowawcza, skanowanie, przetwarzanie obrazów, przygotowanie metadanych, zabezpieczenie zasobów,upowszechnienie), retrokonwersją, promocją projektu i zarządzaniem.Z uwagi na nieograniczony zasięg rezultatów projektu, możliwe jest zidentyfikowanie odbiorców projektów zarówno w skali regionu, jak i w skali makro. Podstawową grupę docelową stanowią przedstawiciele sektora nauki i dydaktyki w Polsce: pracownicy naukowo-dydaktyczni, doktoranci i studenci. Ponadto projekt skierowany jest do wszystkich osób i podmiotów zainteresowanych korzystaniem z zasobów naukowych, w tym pasjonatów nauki, mieszkańców społeczności lokalnych, obcokrajowców z uwzględnieniem standardów dotyczących interoperacyjności.Projekt będzie realizowany w partnerstwie dwóch największych uczelni publicznych z regionu kujawsko-pomorskiego, tj. przez Uniwersytet Mikołaja Kopernika w Toruniu oraz Uniwersytet Kazimierza Wielkiego w Bydgoszczy.Wszystkie zasoby objęte niniejszym projektem będą udostępniane bezpłatnie.Zakres rzeczowy projektu będzie realizowany w okres 01.05.2018 r.-30.04.2021 r.
