Projekt obejmuje budowę 38 magistrali GPON w architekturze FTTH oraz 9 węzłów radiowych dedykowanych 10 placówkom oświatowym. Efektem projektu będzie zapewnienie dostępu do Internetu dla 7 014 gospodarstw domowych oraz 119 jednostek edukacyjnych zlokalizowanych na obszarze chojnickim. Zadaniem projektu jest wyeliminowanie terytorialnych różnic w możliwości dostępu do szerokopasmowego Internetu o wysokich przepustowościach poprzez zapewnienie dostępu do usług Społeczeństwa Informacyjnego mieszkańcom i placówkom publicznym oraz zapewnienie dostępu do infrastruktury i usług hurtowych.
