Projekt ma na celu budowę drogi ekspresowej S61 odc. Ostrów Mazowiecka–Szczuczyn o dł. 91 km. Inwestycja położona jest w północno-wschodniej części Polski i przebiega przez obszar woj. mazowieckiego i podlaskiego. Projektowana droga przebiega częściowo po nowym śladzie głównie po zachodniej stronie istniejącej dk nr 63 oraz częściowo w ciągu istniejącego odcinka dk nr 61. Na całym odcinku przedmiotowej inwestycji przewidziano przekrój dwujezdniowy z dwoma pasami ruchu oraz pasem awaryjnym, dostosowany do prognozowanego poziomu ruchu. (Polish)
