Projekt ma na celu budowę drogi ekspresowej S19 Lublin – Rzeszów, odc. w. Lublin Węglin – w . Kraśnik Południe o długości 41,93 km. Przedmiotowy Projekt, składa się z trzech odcinków realizacyjnych: 1. Część nr 1 - w. Lublin Węglin (bez węzła) – w. Niedrzwica Duża (z węzłem) – od km 0+000,00 do km 12+046,36; 2. Części nr 2 - w. Niedrzwica Duża (bez węzła) – w. Kraśnik Północ (bez węzła) – od km 12+046,36 do km 32+000,00; 3. Części nr 3 - w. Kraśnik Północ (z węzłem) – w. Kraśnik Południe (z węzłem) – od km 32+000,00 do km 41+934,40; Inwestycja jest realizowana w systemie Projektuj & Buduj. Na całym odcinku przedmiotowej inwestycji przewidziano przekrój dwujezdniowy z dwoma pasami ruchu (i rezerwą na dodatkowy pas ruchu, do przekroju docelowego 2x3 pasy ruchu) oraz pasem awaryjnym, dostosowany do prognozowanego poziomu ruchu. Zaprojektowane, w ramach przedmiotowej inwestycji, węzły drogowe, umożliwią bezpieczną komunikację i rozprowadzenie ruchu po pozostałej sieci drogowej oraz obsługę przyległego terenu poprzez sieć dróg serwisowych. Przedmiotowy Projekt, obejmujący drogę ekspresową S19, zlokalizowany jest w województwie lubelskim, w powiecie lubelskim na terenie: gminy Konopnica, Niedrzwica Duża i Strzyżewice oraz w powiecie kraśnickim na terenie gminy Wilkołaz i Kraśnik oraz na terenie miasta Kraśnik.
