The project aims to expand the national road No. 8 to the parameters of the S8 expressway with a total length of 14.91 km on the border section of the Mazowieckie/Podlaskie voivodship – the beginning of the Zambrowa ring road. This Project consists, in a large part, on the complete extension of the existing national road No. 8 to the parameters of the expressway. The exception is the sections which are bypasses of the Mt. Wyszomierz Wielki and Ostrożne, in which the designed expressway runs independently of the existing dk. The road infrastructure is complemented by the construction of ILO 1 and 1 road junctions, which will allow safe communication and distribution of traffic on the rest of the road network and the adjacent area through the access road network. Projekt ma na celu rozbudowę drogi krajowej nr 8 do parametrów drogi ekspresowej S8 o całkowitej długości 14,91 km na odcinku granica województwa mazowieckiego/podlaskiego – początek obwodnicy Zambrowa. Przedmiotowy Projekt polega w zdecydowanej części na całkowitej rozbudowie istniejącej drogi krajowej nr 8 do parametrów drogi ekspresowej. Wyjątek stanowią odcinki będące obejściami m. Wyszomierz Wielki i Ostrożne, w których projektowana droga ekspresowa przebiega niezależnie od istniejącej dk. Uzupełnienie infrastruktury drogowej stanowi budowa 1 MOP i 1 węzła drogowego, który umożliwi bezpieczną komunikację i rozprowadzenie ruchu po pozostałej sieci drogowej oraz obsługę przyległego terenu poprzez sieć dróg dojazdowych.
