The aim of the project is to develop a product offer for the modern infrastructure of new generation cable networks, enabling the full implementation of data transmission in DOCSIS 3.1 standard and thus by VECTOR Sp. z o.o. the position of one of the leaders of the global market in this area. The purpose of industrial work and development research will be to develop the following equipment: 1. an optical micronode in RFoG (Radio Frequency over Glass) technology, which, through the use of photonic integrated circuits and NFC (close field communication) functionality for fast, remote tuning, will significantly reduce the price of the device and the costs of its installation in relation to devices already operating on the market; and 2nd module, EU nodes and 19" 1 RU cabinets in Remote-PHY technology, the launch of which will be a global innovation. Each offer is dedicated to a different area, the first for new connections (Greenfield), using fiber optic at the end of the network, the second for existing connections (Brownfield), where the cost of replacing the coaxial cable with fibre is too high. Both solutions combine the target – increasing network capacity without having to completely replace it. Successfully completed R & D works will allow to create products optimised in terms of size, price and functionality. the main ones in the world.     Celem projektu jest opracowanie oferty produktowej dla nowoczesnej infrastruktury sieci kablowych nowej generacji, umożliwiających pełne wdrożenie transmisji danych w standardzie DOCSIS 3.1 i osiągnięcie dzięki temu przez VECTOR Sp. z o.o. pozycji jednego z liderów globalnego rynku w tym obszarze. Przedmiotem prac przemysłowych i badań rozwojowych będzie stworzenie następujących urządzeń: 1. mikrowęzła optycznego w technologii RFoG (Radio Frequency over Glass), który przez zastosowanie fotonicznego układu scalonego oraz funkcjonalności NFC (komunikacja bliskiego pola) umożliwiającej szybkie, zdalne strojenie, pozwoli na znaczną redukcję ceny urządzenia i kosztów jego instalacji w stosunku do urządzeń już funkcjonujących na rynku; oraz 2. modułu, węzła EU oraz szafki 19'' 1 RU w technologii Remote-Phy, których wprowadzenie na rynek będzie innowacją na skalę światową. Każda z ofert jest dedykowana do innego obszaru, pierwsza dla nowych przyłączy (Greenfield), wykorzystujących na końcu sieci światłowód, druga dla istniejących przyłączy (Brownfield), gdzie koszt wymiany kabla koncentrycznego na światłowód jest zbyt wysoki. Oba rozwiązania łączy cel - zwiększenie przepustowości sieci bez konieczności jej całkowitej wymiany.
