The aim of the project is to develop a new class of hybrid multifunctional filter, HYBRYDA+, which consists of developing a classic hybrid filter using an innovative solution, which is an electrostatic agglomerator designed to charge and agglomerate dust particles and dry sorbent injection system. These elements will be integrated into one compact device, which distinguishes this design from other market solutions. The project product will ensure compliance with the emission limit values for dust and SO2 while rationalising investment and operating costs. The filter will be implemented as a basic environmental protection installation on the market for medium combustion plants, which will be subject to stricter emission standards from 2025 (MCP Directive). Thanks to the additional functionality of the solution, i.e. limiting the emissions of compounds in the same process: HCl, HF and heavy metals (Hg) the project product meets environmentally friendly social expectations and can be used in other industries. The application of an electrostatic agglomerator changes the fractional distribution of volatile ash particles to a more favourable dedusting process and reduce heavy metal emissions (Hg). Thanks to the particle electrification in the agglomerator, a more porous filter pane structure will be obtained to increase the absorption efficiency of acid compounds. The purpose of industrial research is to design the HYBRYDA+ filter. This work will be carried out at an existing demonstration installation in the Łaziska Power Plant and a research station for electrostatic agglomerator. As part of the experimental development work, the demonstration installation will be modernised and tests and optimisation of the HYBRYDA+ filter will be carried out in industrial conditions. W ramach eksperymentalnych prac rozwojowych zmodernizowana zostanie instalacja demonstracyjna oraz przeprowadzone będą testy i optymalizacja filtra HYBRYDA+ w warunkach przemysłowych.
